Holy Rosary Homecoming, Oct. 7

Did your grandparents attend Holy Rosary Church? Did your parents go to school there or were they married there? Were you baptized or did you receive your sacraments there? Join the festivities at 10 a.m. on Oct. 7 for the feast of Holy Rosary for Homecoming.

Mass will be held at 10 a.m. You’ll see the beautiful altar, the lighted rosary, stations of the cross and gorgeous stained-glass windows. There will be traditional Latin hymns and newer favorites.

After Mass, you’ll enjoy coffee, potica and sandwiches in the school cafeteria and rekindle friendships by sharing stories, photos and memories. There are accessible ramps in the front of the church and on the south side of the school cafeteria.

Check out photos of each of the 40 graduating classes from Holy Rosary Grade School, from 1929 to 1969, and see if you can find your relatives. Bring photos of your parents and grandparents, of altar servers, choirs, class plays, classrooms, May crownings, Christmas pageants, posadas and processions. Bring a notepad to take numbers and addresses of old acquaintances.

At our two previous Homecoming events, people shared reminiscences of teachers, classmates, events and antics in a video. Perhaps you have a memory to record?
