State, federal, and local officials and leaders recently celebrated the completion of the neighborhood community park near Swansea Elementary School and major construction of the $1.2 billion Central 70 Project.
The four-acre cover park that sits above a section of Interstate 70 between Brighton and Colorado boulevards is now open to the general public.
The cover park features an amphitheater, two U8 soccer fields, a tot lot and splash park, more than 100 trees, greenery, and sitting space. The new park provides a walkable, playable connection for the neighboring community.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, traffic is now in its final alignment on I-70 between Brighton Boulevard and Chambers Road and motorists are experiencing a smoother and safer drive with trip-time reliability
