For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Dave, the publisher of The G.E.S. Gazette. I’m thrilled to be writing that we’ve passed the one-year mark as a publication and we’re planning for a busy 2023.
In the last year, we’ve brought you stories on the future of local schools like Swansea Elementary, the Fox Park development at the old Denver Post facility, changes coming to Washington Street, news on city politics, and more.
We’ve hosted a Spanish-language focus group to help inform our election coverage and joined community events. As a North Denver resident myself, it’s been a joy to meet so many of you. As we look to 2023, we also have a wonderful opportunity. We’ve been chosen for a $5,000 matching grant facilitated by the Colorado Media Project. In order to receive $5,000 to help us continue and grow, we need to raise $5,000 in small donations from the community.
Next year, we plan to grow from a meager 12 pages each month to 16, 20, or more, especially around the spring city elections. We also plan to join more community events to get more feedback on what you want to see us writing and to be present in the community. We appreciate your contribution of any amount. If you’d like to contribute by check, please use the form on this page.
You can make your check payable to “The G.E.S. Gazette” and mail to:
The G.E.S. Gazette
PO Box 11584

If you’d prefer to donate online, you can make a contribution through our sister publication, The Denver North Star at denvernorthstar.com by clicking “Make a Contribution” at the bottom of the page. Thank you for your readership and your support.
We’re also working to fix any delivery problems. If you live in our free delivery area in the 80216 zip code and we’ve missed any months, please let us know so we can work with the post office to fix any issues.
Here’s to a great 2023. We look forward to working with the community even more to bring you the local news you won’t find anywhere else.
